Fridgetown Festival
Fridgetown Festival
Bridgetown’s winter festival began in 2011 to celebrate the Shire’s people, businesses, history, and lifestyle through art, culture, music, food, exhibits, and events. Initially called the Bridgetown in the Winter Festival, it has since rebranded, drawing inspiration from the town’s unofficial nickname, “Fridgetown”—a playful nod to its chilly temperatures and reputation as Western Australia’s Winter Capital.
Famous for its cool, misty mornings, lush green hills, and welcoming country charm, Bridgetown offers the perfect setting to unwind and enjoy winter festivities. For those who prefer cozying up by a roaring fire, the town boasts full calendar of events at restaurants and cafés serving hearty menus and warm drinks, often paired with live local music and entertainment including the banquet on the Bridge.
